Activities in Residential Care

A lot has been happening in our Residential Care community recently…

In February, Ray shared his love of playing the piano with his fellow Residents in Sunnyside Villa by giving a concert. Ray is self-taught and plays by ear. During the week he can be heard playing with other Residents singing along, giving him great joy. Ray also calls bingo and is always ready to help out with other activities. We are grateful for all the help Ray gives.

Bally, our Residential cockatiel has continued to keep Residents company. He lives in Hibernian Villa but has momentarily moved to the memory support unit to spread the joy further.

Residents have relished creating artwork with volunteer, Cora in Sunnyside Villa. For six weeks we were also delighted to have Charlotte on art therapy placement with us, assisting our Creative & Engagement Therapist, Ruth with her Clients.

As well as our newest initiative, “Moove & Groove”, a music and movement program using wireless headphone technology to create an immersive experience for our Residential Friends.
