The Award Winning Hibernian Aged Care Facilities (HACF) are part of the BallyCara Retirement Living complex at Scarborough and offer residential care through our low care, high care, dementia and respite services.

The HACF is only the second home in Queensland to be awarded a Better Practice Award from the Aged Care Standard & Accreditation Agency. This award recognises that our Residents are receiving the highest standard of care and services through our innovative quality-management programs. This Award is in addition to the high care and low care services being fully Accredited facilities.

Within the HACF high care and dementia care are provided through the Hibernian Nursing Home whilst the John Zeller Hostel and Sunnyside Villa provide low care accommodation through private units all with ensuite and external living spaces.

A highly experienced and very skilled Management and senior nursing staff provide leadership and support to a professional and motivated care team ensuring all HACF Residents receive the best possible care and attention.

For the benefit of all current and future Residents we introduced a Lifestyle Philosophy across the Hibernian Nursing Home, John Zeller Hostel and Sunnyside Villa. The aim of the Lifestyle Philosophy is to enhance the happiness, well being and lifestyle of EVERY resident that we care for at the HACF. Our commitment to a Lifestyle Philosophy for our residents enables us - as a facility and organisation - to create a wonderful environment for our residents to LIVE.
